Always have, always will! Panther fans I know our defense has been decent for years, but let's not forget that Franchise QB's is where it's at when the playoffs comes around. Give me the '10 Packers over the '02 Buccaneers anyday! Also give me AJ Green or Blaine Gabbert over Nick Fairley anyday.

It's not so much the amount of time as it is the rule changes that have taken place since then.

Funny, I don't remember one of the best QBs in NFL history winning one...

Pointing out exceptions to the rule is hardly a good argument.. nothing is ever absolute.. having a franchise QB doesn't guarantee the Superbowl, but not having a QB pretty much does guarantee not having one.. ;)

someone is going to quote you and point to trent dilfer/brad johnson as exceptions to this theory.
