oh btw 3 touchdown passes from Mark Sanchez

but no it's all defense who are we kidding it's either Fairley or the franchise folds within 3 years

won't fold, it'll move to LA!!!! DUH!

JR is OBVIOUSLY setting up with that by not going out and signing Fairley to a contract TODAY... its SO OBVIOUS how he's saving money to pay for his new hosue in LA!11!!!! :smilielol5:

And facts beat cliches every time. It's not a coincidence that Top 10 Offenses make it to the conference championship games.

Rep. This clearly shows that good balanced teams win championships.

Always have, always will! Panther fans I know our Offense has sucked for years, but let's not forget that Denfense is where it's at when the playoffs comes around. Give me the '03 Panthers over the '10 Patriots any day! Also give me Fairley over AJ Green!

Here is the problem with that... and I agree you need a defense to win a championship most of the time. The issue is and I have heard the stats on this and talk about it alot on NFL radio; and that is you NEED offense to get into the playoffs. They have talked about how many of the top offense win games over the course of a 16 game schedule for top defenses, etc.... and the top offenses win more games over the season helping them make the playoffs - and THEN generally its the defense that wins championships once you are in.

We were 23rd in rush defense. DT is important for us, yes.

why do people keep saying this?

you all do realize there is FA as well, right?

if so, then why do you all say this thinking the draft is the only way to get a DT?

we brought in one of the best defensive minds in the country.. I think he can plug in some solid DTs and be effective while improving the offense.

and for the love of god, we aren't going to play only defense and ST's until we get a QB, so yes, we do still need a legit threat at WR.. and free agency likely won't field any available WRs, they are all top threat for their current team and that team will likely do what it takes to sign them..

Simple but excellent post!

The lesson is to win in this NFL now you need to be strong on BOTH sides of the ball.

Steelers O-8th D-1st

Packers O-3rd D-3rd

Bears O-2nd D-4th

Jets O-4th D-6th

That right there is top notch balance
