Former Head Coaches on Panthers Staff

Lots of teams have former head coaches in lesser capacities. Chicago has Mike Tice, Mike Martz, and Rod Marinelli. Baltimore has Jim Zorn and Cam Cameron. The Chiefs have Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel. The Texans now have Wade Phillips. I'm sure there's plenty more examples.

My question is, have the Panthers EVER employed a former head coach? I can't think of any in recent memory...

Nope, but considering all the other coaches you listed where NFL head coaches. Its implied. That plus this is a forum on an NFL team. And in all honesty, I think he shouldn't of even been mentioned. But as for the OP, Singletary is considering Carolina (or at least so we are told).

When Dick Vermeil coached the Rams, he assembled a star staff that included a couple of former head coaches. Of course, he was an established coach with a Super Bowl appearance.

I am very in favor of us getting at least one...but hopefully more former HC's on our coaching staff.
