Mort: Sean McDermott is a candidate as DC with Broncos/Panthers...

i'm pretty sure that rivera wants the best people he can find. you have to remember that the DC is running his defense & not vice versa. even if he calls the defensive plays that's no different than what alot of offensive minded head coaches like payton & mccarthy do. the DC will still help formulate the gameplan & oversee the daily operation of the defensive staff

Can you name Payton and McCarthy's OC's without looking it up? That's my point.

I hope you're right. I have always believed that the best leaders hire good people and then they let them do their jobs. I've seen a lot of very smart people screw things up by micro managing their business.

well the good news is head coaching is nothing like your average restaurant GM job so there you go

Well you got me there...I guess. I'm still not gonna get too excited until I see some positive results.

I swear I still wish we could have gotten Rob Ryan in some capacity. At least then we would be entertained whether we win or lose. Rivera doesn't strike me as a very entertaining personality at all. I'm afraid all the people who constantly complained about Fox's PC's are about to get more of the same but with a different face.

Had to go back to this story.

I swear, is LaCanfora ever right these days? He used to be reliable :nonod:

it's ESPN, what do you expect... it's not about "inside info", it's about speculation and throwing poo at the wall...

listen to the whispers and report them.. all of them..

LaCanfora is NFL Network. He should have the best inside access of anyone.

What he's got instead is a habit of being wrong.
