I would consider Mike for DC as well. I don't know if Rivera and Singletary have similar philosophy's when it comes to Xs and Os, but I do know that as players they were both aggressive attcking players. Should provide fertile ground to explore. I have been hoping we don't end up with settling for the "best of the rest" when it related to filling assistant positions. With the recent firings, it gives us interesting possibilities for building a dynamite staff. It would be great to see a staff of ex-players who can only teach the players but can inspire them to reach the same levels of success that they did. I expect that Beason could learn quite a bit from Mike Singletary. What middle linebacker couldn't.

Seems as if the pool of talent has gotten a little bit better. I wonder how Rivera or Hurney sees it right now.

we already have that connection. Kevin Greene played here and then became a pro wrestler with McMichael. Mongo was a 4 Horseman with Ric Flair who is a Panthers fan from Charlotte.
