It's way too early to tell, but I think Gettis may have that potential.

Could either become a #1 in time? Gettis possibly. Lafell I could see becoming a #2 for sure, but I think Gettis really could break through and be something big here.

I'm not sold they could have done the same thing on other teams but no doubt they were solid picks. If they were that bad and only starting because of bodies, Devin Thomas woulda broken through and/or Clowney would have started. So no, it wasn't just because we had no other option. There is skill in those two youngsters.

I'm not sure either of them would have had as much playing time on any other team but they certainly would have contributed still.

I think LaFell can become every bit the player that Muhammad was, and possibly more.

Gettis has the speed, but I kind of think it's too early to tell if he's top-20 caliber.

In all honesty you may be right. How many 3rd downs late in the year was he sitting on the bench? Seemed to be quite a few, but maybe it just felt that way and it wasn't the case.

That being said I want him in on 3rd downs if we ever get a passing game on track...

The stats also show why its skewed. Lafell and Gettis were both thrown the ball almost twice as much as most of the recivers mentioned. So to say they played better isn't really correct, they were given much more oppurtunities, thus there stats were higher.

Given the circumstances, they did decent. But the book is still out on them

This thread right here is why we don't need A.J. Green. An actual decent QB, and a decent OC can get the ball to LaFell and Gettis. And if Smitty stays, it's even better.

Gettis was a great pick. LaFell droped a lot of passes at the beging of the season, I would like to see how many passes were droped by each WR.

Dez Bryant had a great year and was injured some games. Marty Gilyard was a player many people wanted but he had a horrible year. Looks like a good decision on our picks.
