How many wins did the 'Youth Movement' cost?

And that gets us what? One great year? What happens the next year if there's a cap again?

Looking at age and ability, how many of the guys the Panthers cut were actually worth what they were making?

One great year is worth it. Ask any superbowl winner. We didn't even win the superbowl, but going to watch the Panthers play the Patriots in Houston was one of the best memories of my lifetime and Davis was one of the biggest and best FA pickups the Panthers have ever made.

Not me. I'll take one down year that sets us up to be perennial contenders over one great year followed by cap hell and mediocrity and all of us living off the past anytime.

i think 8 wins and missing the playoffs would have been worse. after game 7 or so, i was already used to loosing game after game. i accepted that we were the worst team in the league. i did have a blast at the san fran game though. it was fun as hell.

I might have a different opinion but here goes.

When comparing how the replacements did, the only FA lost that could of helped imo was jake and vincent. And I dont' think they would have helped much at all. Until QB play is better and Oline protects pass better, we would have been same place we are now with the rest of them back.

Moose old and needed upgraded before he was even let go.

Hoover same. Might be a fan favorite but come on.

Lewis could of helped this past season but the D play was good this year until injuries and getting wore out took effect.

Our LB did good this year. Diggs didn't hurt us at all.

Johnson gave us good production on the line replacing Peppers.

Godfrey was solid replacing Harris. Not like Harris didn't let people behind him the year before.

All and all, I don't think the Vet purge was as big effect talent wise as it's been made out to be. Now we did lose some leadership, how much that effected no one can measure or give good answer on.
