Trade down for Newton/QB?

We don't really know that. A season under Fox told us zero Pike.

My ideal camp roster is Clausen, Pike and two vets (one could likely be Matt Moore). Best three make the final roster. That guarantees at least one veteran presence.

Ultimately it depends where the pick falls, but like I said, I wouldn't be surprised if we picked up a QB if one of the top few fell real far, because this FO goes with BPA and if the BPA happens to be a "first round talent" in the third... *shrugs*

edit: as to Pike, it is possible he has worked on arm strength a lot this offseason, but he was really, really weak in that area nd there were all sorts of questions about him outside of that, but he is the biggest questionmark in a while... too bad we couldn't give him Hunter Cantwell's arm

Really just depends on what the Scouts and the combine tell us. We can argue till we are blue in the face but its not going to be resolved till the draft. Then we can fuss about when the CBA will be signed.

...and other than Dalton in a late round, I don't see any entering the draft that I would like to have on this team
