Idk, looking at everything the Bronco's are pretty solid.

They have a good Oline (even)

They have better QB's then Carolina (denver)

They have good wr's (about even with carolina if you count smith being smith)

Carolina has better RB's, but in the right system I think the RB's for Denver can be successfull. (carolina)

DLine - I'd say even (different sysems 3-4 vs 4-3, but I think they are even.)

LB's - Carolina all the way

Secondary - on potential and talent - about even maybe a slight advantage to Denver (since Carolina's probably lost Marshall)

Special Teams - Kasey is awesome on FG's, but carolina still needs a dedicated returner that can light it up. Coverage was better in Carolina this past season, but Denver has a better returner in Royal.... so I'd say even overall.

Not too far off from each other if you ask me.

One of the 1st things you're taught about being a professional-You don't trash former employers. It's unprofessional. It's even worse to do it in public.

He didn't trash Carolina at all. He just spoke honestly and he kept it to a minimum. Didn't bother me in the slightest bit. He was just saying what everyone knew anyways.

He's been interviewing for 9 years and wasn't mentioned for the Cleveland, Oakland or Denver job.

The best he could do was land a job for a 2-14 team with an owner who seems to have lost it. Against 3 other candidates who were pretty weak.

A big Thank You to the Carolina fans that are over at the Broncos forums trying to set those guys straight. I assure you not all Broncos fans are so closed minded. Most of us are just so depressed with the lack of good football we are use to. So these fans of ours are making things seem better than they are.

That is just some of the crap they spewing at the Broncos Forums. I wish more of you guys would go over there and set these guys straight. Don't get me wrong I will have a wait and see approach with Fox, but I'm not going to turn him into something he is not.

Here is the thing with Fox, you will probably have success early. If for no other reason than he is a players coach and players are willing to put it out there for him. As time wears on his style of play will not change. Teams will figure him out and the fan-base and players will become tired of his conservative "play to win by 3" scheme.

The main problem that you Denver fans will have is probably the same one that we had. Even after a 2-14 season we are still having it. That is that Fox never does anything bad enough or has a crappy enough season to truely say "lets jettison this guy". A lot of your fans will want to keep him around because of early successes and hopes of what he might be able to do.

Fox is also a genius at schlecking off any blame for why everything went to hell.

Did the FO give Fox a team that he could win the SB with THIS year? No.

Did the FO give Fox a team that could only muster 2 wins at best? No.

Fox wanted a FAT contract extension, he was wanting something in the 6 million+ a year range. The FO wanted to get rid of some fat that was wieghing this team down in a year in which it would cost them "nothing" to do so.

They gave Fox a young team that has more talent than most are willing to admit. Pretty much said, "Hey, here is your team, coach them up and show us that you are worth a fat contract." Because honestly, what had Fox ever done to prove that he was elite?

If your employer gives you the bare minimum to do a job and you go out and do a better job than anybody thought you could, then you proved your worth and will probably get a fat raise for it. I am sure that if Fox would have gone 8-8 or 9-7 with this team then either the Panthers would have given him his fat contract or someone else would have.

As it is, since he did a shitty job at coaching up young talent and winning games, he had to settle on Denver at a noob price.

I agree with everything here. Fox proved that neither he nor most of his staff have what it takes to develop a team full of young talent. I think some coaches would jump at the challenge. Fox seemed like he was in a "Whoa is me" pity party for himself.

Just to get a grasp on Fox's "water-proof back" persona, think of this.

Raheem Morris has a bad first year in TB with a team that was younger and way less talented than ours and people were talking about canning him.

Eric Mangini has never had a great team or probably even much of any talent outside of Cribbs in Cleavland. Yet fans and "professionals" consider him a joke.

Singletary was given a decent team but not a great or barely even good team in SF his entire tenure. He was run out of town and may never get another shot at a HC gig.

Tom Cable never was given a team worth a damn with THE CRAZIEST owner ever. Actually does a decent job and no one is rushing to his aid and trying to get him a new HC gig.

Fox was given a young team with at least some pretty good players on both sides of the ball. Leads them to a league worst record with one of the worst offenses of all time and somehow no one thinks it is his fault in any way!

People make up some of the most absurd excuses for why it could not have been Fox's fault to only have 2 wins this season. Well, it wasn't a SB team so you have to give him a pass on this one. AZ, Seatle, St. Louis, S.F., Cleavland, Jacksonville, Miami, Buffalo, Detroit, and Oakland all started this season out with really no chance in hell of getting to a SB. Do you really think that if thier HC's lead them to 2-14 years people would say its not thier fault at all?

Sure they turned out pretty bad, but that's not the point. The point is that we gave Fox and his staff plenty of quarterbacks to groom to take over for Delhomme. And since Fox didn't want any first round quarterbacks, we gave him the best of the rest.. which his staff still failed to coach into at least a serviceable quarterback... which falls right on John Fox's feet.

21 of the 22 starters being brought back from the 12-4 season. They can't put all the blame on Delhomme. If a qb is having a meltdown of epic proportions, it's up to the HC to intervene. Not just sit there with his thumb up his ass, spouting off about how Delhomme gives us the best chance to win. That wouldn't have been so bad, had Moore came in and finished the season poorly himself, but when Moore went 4-1, it just blew a hole in Fox's theory, even if Moore probably wasn't directly responsible for most of those wins.

This is one of the few faults of Fox which is his loyalty to players. In hinsight he should have benched Delhomme i think we all see that now.

Fox only had eyes for Jake, if you think otherwise then you are kidding yourself. Fox had it so hard for Jake the man fuging CRIED on tv when they let him go.

Have you ever seen a coach cry when a team cuts a veteran? Especially an aged veteran WAY past his prime and was never that outstanding anyways.

This would be on par with Andy Reid crying when Hank Basket was cut.

What do you mean "we all see that now"? I think pretty much the entire fuging world, even the Nigerean with no tv access, saw that should have happened way sooner than it did.

Good coaches know when a player is past their prime. (See Bill Belichick and Andy Reid). Maybe if had grown a pair and made an effort to get a QB in that could play we wouldn't be in this situation.

Fox couldn't develop a quarterback that could take over for Jake. It's not like he didn't have any options, he just couldn't, or more than likely, didn't want to find someone to start in front of Jake.

We all saw 2 years ago when Jake shat the bed for 11 straight weeks that Fox refused to bench Jake in favor for something else. It took an "injury" for Moore to even get a chance.

Foxy has got to make changes to be successful in Denver. That was something he was unable or unwilling to do in Carolina and why he lost his job. The QB situation in Carolina was Foxy's responsibility. This team could have drafted their franchise QB several times...but Foxy did not like them and stuck with Jake. If Denver is going to have an exciting offense it is because Elway told him it was going to be that way and Foxy will not have full authority.

Foxy has never been a good game manager....that skill did not seem to improve with experience. And, I doubt he has overhauled his entire philosophy in 10 days. He had more time in Carolina to do that and did not.

This past year? This team was rebuilding. JR got more involved and saw that Foxy's loyalty to his players was not going to get this team anywhere. Even I thought Foxy could coach this team up better than he did. As JR said, "we have the worst record, but we do not have the worst players."

Foxy never had 2 winning seasons in a row. So far he has been a players' coach who could not build a winner. His teams have been under-coached and out-coached.

He seems like a good man and I wish him the best. I just think we should give him responsible for his body of work here.
