I did forget about Crane and Al Ghul both in the first one, but I'm not buying the two villain deal in the second installment. Two-Face is a villain, but the film focused way more on the Dent persona than it did on Two-Face.

Yes, Two-Face was a bad guy, and a villain too (I stand corrected). Maybe I should have chosen my words better the first time around. The Joker is the Antagonist of the film and the Batman is the Protagonist of the film. Dent/Two-Face does a great job in the supporting role.

Makes sense to me. Seems like Nolan ended Dark Knight heading into the "civilian populace of Gotham turns on Batman" plot and an imposter Batman villain would be a simple plot tool.
