Kinda hard to argue that it isn't dirty.

The question really is just how "dirty" you're comfortable with.

No it's not hard to argue at all. There clearly was no intent to injure or he could have done much much more. I put it in the same bucket as much of the trash talking thet goes on. Get into the opponents head. Intimidate.

I have viewed plays now where it was clearly his intention to take a player out of the game. He would have had 8 games of suspensions in the NFL (possibly more) with what I've seen.

Some of those are linked in this thread, but not that first one. The aggressiveness is desired if controlled. Over the top aggression becomes a liability.

I don't mind a mean streak, but in my book you don't eff with someone's neck; and twisting a guys head into the ground isn't exactly innocuous. If he had don't just about anything else with the same amount of force (punch, kick, shove, elbow), I'd be fine with it, just don't mess with a dude's neck.
