Pretty sure a coach like Rivera would straighten him out. He will get a feel for him at the combine. It's not really about the 'pussification' of football, but more about the amount of yards it would cost us per game if it happened frequently.

My thing is that it was a stupid play, and it is the type of penalty that is never necessary under any circumstances. I would think that we are all old enough to know that even one useless penalty can have a profound impact upon the game. and it's not a stretch to say it can provide an undesirable momentum swing that causes our team to lose, and I just wouldn't accept it. I prefer smart players as opposed to dumb jocks.

Was it a little dirty...yes, but nothing to worry about in terms of drafting him.

Was it stupid.... Yes! You don't commit stupid penalties put your team in a worst situation in a game that close with the national title on the line.

I'll take a handful of penalties along with making the defense nastier, like Kris Jenkins did when he was here. Well, when he wasn't eating cartons of donuts on the sidelines so he could get hurt and not have to play anymore.

I think this is what people need to realize. It's not that nasty players like Ray Lewis don't do stuff EXACTLY like this, they're just way better at concealing it. Hopefully Ron can help him out with that part.

That and don't even attempt it at critical situations.... If were playing the falcons and they are driving in the 4th don't try to be dirty. If it's still early in the game, then go ahead and do what you do.
