I don't think this is enough to feed everyone, but, it will work as an appetizer :)

Reading this thread is both funny and sad...Funny because of those who were justifying their argument by regurgitating everything they heard on ESPN and NFLN. Sad because this kid and his family have been treated to all levels of degredation and insults just to feed certain schools and their fan's hurt egos because Auburn beat while on their way to the NC.

Cam Newton is now doing to the Panthers what he did to Auburn...making them "relevant" in the sports media despite their current playing record.

Exactly. I agree 100%. We have to be careful not to just take what is force fed from the media to us. They were way wrong on Cam. Initially I wanted Luck, but when he decided not to declare, I changed my mind and said, might as well take a shot and see what Cam can do. He was a winner at every level he has competed at, maybe he can help the Panthers get things turned around. I have supported him from day 1. I am so tired of the laptop crap and all the other accusations. Let he who is without fault cast the first stone. Most of us have made huge mistakes in our lives. Hopefully we have learned from them. Cam, seems to have learned from his so far. He sincerely seems as though he wants to be a winner on the field and off of it too. So glad that we drafted him. We have a chance to be a really good team for many years once we add a few more pieces to the puzzle.

I'm usually like that when it comes to the draft (Jimmy Graham, Lagertte Blount, etc) and my analysis on Cam was right on the money so far. Just don't ask me to pick winners. My checkbook is proof positive I can't pick games.

I remember reading some posts people dug up from the old panthers forum..lots of "wft a kick returner in the 3rd round?" sort of talk lol
