Maybe CLE for there chance to draft A.J. Green. They are hurting in the WR department. Still I could see someone trading up for Bowers,Peterson, or Fairly. Still for a 2nd I would bet money it would have to be for A.J. Green. Someone is going to want a Fran WR.

The people on this forum are too much. Everybody was on the Newton bandwagon only a week ago. Now I hear comments that Gabbert should be our QB, based on his Nevada game. Every-time a new scouting report comes out declaring this certain guy as amazing you homers slurp it up like fluffers. Once Cam dominates on the combine, you guys will slurp it up once again. Whats even worse is that most people will hype a guy like Gabbert up because of it even when they haven't actually see him play (sorry fans but he straight up sucks). Just another big tall strong arm QB draft pundits are drooling over. If he was Clausen size and arm strength you would have never heard of him.

In the 2nd or 3rd wouldn't mind him but #1 overall hell no. Mallet as well hes like Newton with as bad if not worse character issues and not as much athleticism (I will concede he has a slightly stronger arm). Hes a 1st rounder but not even close to being #1 overall material.

But to be fair I really don't like taking Newton there either. Ideally we would be able to trade back a few spots and snag him.

Cam is...hard to describe him, he is more than Raw. He is going to need a lot of work but even more so, he is going to need a lot of discipline to be able to do that work. No body knows whether he can be good and no body knows if he has that kind of discipline, a lot more is required than the normal player.

Can't say I think anything of his character problem, is bought a stolen laptop possibly knowing it was stolen, so what? I know I have done much worse at his age.

He would increase his value to me if he stayed in school and did it for more than one year but there is a team he can fool to take a chance on him for better or more likley worse, and I pray to god it is not the Panthers.

Not sure who exactly you're referring to as "everybody" - I'd say that a good portion of the board does not want - and has not wanted - Newton, at least not at #1.
