We already have the next Peyton Manning....

I don't buy for a second the Panthers still think Clausen will be their best quarterback ever. I also really hope the Panthers aren't handicapping themselves & their scouts by refusing to look at any quarterbacks this draft because they think that keeping Pike and Clausen is worth it.

i hear the panthers are still high on clausen, just not enough to pass on luck but probably enough to pass on the rest of this class right now. once riveria's staff is in place we will have better idea of how they feel about clausen based on what moves they make in the draft or free agency

the rest of the class is pretty questionable anyway, so I'm not surprised.

look at Manning's stats. If they're 1500 yards, 3 TDs and 10 INTs...
His were pretty comparable to Terry Bradshaw's, Troy Aikman's, and maybe another superbowl wining QB. Not saying Jimmy will ever be on the level of those guys but you never know. 1 year is not close to enough time you need to see how good a player is gonna be, especially a QB. He was thrown into a horrible situation, give him at least one more year and lets see what he does.

true and Fox probably did borrow his offensive gameplan from the 80s and 90s, so that makes sense.

let's go into camp with a chance for him to win his starting job but no expectation he has the capacity to, imo.
