I think they most likely gave some assurances that he has time to build but I wouod be very surprised if they opted to tank straight out of the gate. I mean it may happen anyway, regardless.

even if its not arch looking at the 26 prospects and there are like 5 that could be first round picks if they keep progressing

manning

garret

sellers

allar

maybe nico

and there are some fringe guys that could sneak up....King and moss

I can’t see the saints just sitting at 9 knowing we will trade. They’ll probably trade with Jacksonville or Las Vegas and get Sanders

i hope they do. imagine trading up for trash

An edge needs to fall to us. Not that DT from Michigan. Trade out to 12, take the Penn State TE. Bundle that second to move back up in the late first.

I like the logic and I would have my eyes on the Boston college edge or the ole miss one.

Undersized but I love him. I think he is a top 3-4 pass rusher in this class.

Same feeling  on him. His tape shows someone playing big,  like Walker. Actually  a lil taller too.

And he is a true EDGE, unlike Walker who is really more of an OLB, IMO.

I think he and Green are the two of the most advanced pass rushers in this draft. Not flawless, obviously, but high floor guys.
