not saying much there.

i won't overlook only 3 winning seasons and just 1 in the past 5 years. i won't overlook his stubborn commitment to his chosen players and his narrow-minded and antiquated brand of football that held this team back for years and left us with a mess, esp. at QB.

Ding...ding...ding.

I just talked to my sister-in-law and her husband who live in Denver. They are huge Broncos fans and HATE this hire.

Well if your sister-in-law and her husband hate the move, then it must be a terrible decision.

Who do your sister-in-law and husband think we should take in the draft??????

No, but you are willing to overlook the fact that he took a team to the Super Bowl two years removed from a 1-15 season. You also overlook the fact that he took a 2005 team to the NFC championship with only Steve Smith as the lone star player on the team and with Jake Delhomme as the QB, nevermind that we overachieved when beating the NYG in NY 20-0 in the playoffs, nevermind that we beat Chicago in Chicago after they had a bye in the playoffs. I guess you will also overlook the fact that Fox was right about playing Delhomme. I hated Delhomme, I still don't like him as a QB, but look how Moore and Clausen turned out.

Name a coach not named Belichick that would have done as well during the past 9 years with the exact same players. However you look at it, we overachieved. I'm glad Fox is gone, it was time, but to think he didn't do an outstanding job with what was given to him is flat out wrong.

I would change some comments.

I would say this,

"So you had 2 years left on your contract, and quit on us? Yet you go somewhere else and go to the big game? You're a sonofabitch John Fox. f**k you!"

Fox never ever quit on us. His method just wasn't working anymore and he could never seem to solve his QB problem.

It's funny that the same people will make excuses for Clausen's play this year but won't make excuses for John Fox this year.

Anyone who doesn't wish him well is a duesch. He's gone now and we have a new coach.

First let me start with I am not a Fox hater and can care less how he does somewhere else. That being said, alot of those making excuses for Clausen is because of the coaching staff, play calling etc... so you cant apply those to Fox. I know some excuses are due to the roster purge, etc but despite that Fox and Co did nothing to adjust for it. I do think a different coaching staff could have gotten more out of the team.

i didn't make excuses for either and i don't care how he does away from here. i just think he's an overrated coach and the broncos are going to be regreting that hire...not to the extent that they regret hiring mckid, but still...i can see them sitting on the bottom for a few years. chargers will come back. the chiefs are heading in the right direction and if the raiders hire hue jackson they will be contenders next year.

Bottom line is this was one of the last HC gigs available. Fox smacked his gum a little louder and clapped a little harder knowing he had to impress.

When this team wins 4-6 more games next season simply b/c he isnt here the cat will be out of the bag and he wouldnt get many looks at HC, maybe DC still. so he needed to take something while he can still ride the "owner was cheap" line.

best of luck, but i'll be glad to know on a 3rd and 8 i wont see a draw play 100% of the time.
