I don't think anybody has suggested such a thing. One more year to see real improvement, if he even plays next year. We can't hold onto players like we did in the past, Morgan, Foster, Delhomme, Cobert and DJ...but to dump a rookie after just one year is silly.

I could not agree more

For the record-I'm in favor of dumping Pickles yesterday.

I'm not talking about winning. I'll even give him a break on some (not all) of his picks. Many were not his fault. Many of them however were break-the-f***ing-TV stupid. He doesn't make quick decisions, he lacks the arm strength of an NFL QB, (granted, this could be fixed if we HAVE an offseason and he doesn't spend it f***ing skiing),and I've seen no leadership qualities from him.

Oh, and Moore-He's not the answer either.

We MUST have a genuine franchise, blue chip QB on this team, or we are going nowhere.

This.

You should change your name to Darth Wise.

Usually a guy will show flashes if he's got "it". I did not see any from the Pickle this season. If Clausen has an out-of-body and somehow proves me wrong, then I will gladly eat crow. But I'd put all my money on him continuing to stink.

When was the last time our offense ran to the QBs strengths instead of trying to fit a square peg into a round hole?

Answer: the last 5 games of the 2009 season when we were rolling Moore out of the pocket to give him more time and help him make cleaner reads.

Even when Jake was falling apart, there were things he did well that we didn't exploit. Instead the coaching staff just stuck their system rather than make adjustments.

I feel the same way about Clausen. If we had a staff that would reinforce the things he did well instead of trying to make him into something he's not, he might have had more success.

Both of them were pretty accurate within 20 yards, but we wanted that vertical passing game for whatever reason, and neither of them were that kind of QB. Jake was when he first got here, but after blowing his arm, the playcalling should have been tailored to what he could do, and wasn't.

Kind of hope The Golden Calf of Bristol's not at dinner. Hungry and I don't feel like sitting through him saying grace for an hour.

The Golden Calf of Bristol just passed the rolls. Solid job. Didn't freak out and throw out of bounds like another certain rookie QB that I knew well.

Apparently we have to do our own dishes here. Will take a bit getting used to. Armanti used to do mine in Charlotte.
