You think because Cassell didn't start a football game since high school that his talent level at the time should be considered at or below Pickles. Don't start talking about evidence.

That one play, even though pretty ordinary was better than anything Jimmy showed. I was just trying to say I blame Hurney for the pick but I haven't given up on him being a bust like Jimmy.

Ok, so just because Jimmy struggled his first year in the league just like other QBs that are established did and played in a bad offensive system he's automatically a bust

awesome thesis good luck with it

Wow, just two seasons ago they had one of the top offenses in the league, behind only New Orleans.

Then McDaniels comes in and runs all their good offensive players out of town. Jay Cutler...gone. Brandon Marshall...gone. Tony Scheffler...gone. Peyton Hillis...gone.

And now Foxball comes to town.

lol

You are right lets stick with Clausen for three more years.

I don't think anybody has suggested such a thing. One more year to see real improvement, if he even plays next year. We can't hold onto players like we did in the past, Morgan, Foster, Delhomme, Cobert and DJ...but to dump a rookie after just one year is silly.

Those things are definitely possible. My point is that when it became obvious that he was sucking in that system, there was no effort made to evolve. Jimmy very well could have been (and may be) just as terrible with different philosophy and playcalling, but a good coach at least makes the attempt.

Clausen aside, how many other times have we the fans observed Fox's inability to adjust? It's not an isolated thing, and it's not a sign of a good coach.

You're right-John Fox either can't, or won't adjust. The man's pants could be falling down and he'd refuse to adjust his belt.

That's a completely seperate issue from the fact that Jimmy Clausen has had a QB coach since the age of 12, was held back in the 6th grade to help him mature, (look it up-it's a FACT), and yet my retarded dog has more intelligence, guts, and possibly arm strength than he does. He's not good enough to play in the f***ing UFL, assuming they stay in business.
