I dont think we will trade, at all..but if we do, it will be to Foxy and Denver.

Something like Steve Smith for a 3rd or DeAngelo Williams for a 2nd. I could even see something like The Golden Calf of Bristol and their 1st for our 1st so Fox makes sure he gets his guy.

I just dont see anything dramatic though realistically. We keep our guys, keep our picks and we either do one of two things.

1 - Draft Green and sign a TE like Lewis, Boss, or the TE from Oakland to give our QB plenty around him to succeed while re-signing all of our guys.

2 - Draft Fairley and really "sureing" up our defense under Rivera in year one before we find our QB and other offensive weapons in year 2(In other words, getting Andrew Luck)

Ok, first all this Orton talk needs to be scrapped, why in the hell would we need him of all people...he's avg to slightly below avg at best. This is not so much a bold prediction but my thoughts on what should happen...

1)Tag/Re-sign DeAngelo, he's our best back (keep Stew, and Goody @ 2/3)

2)Do not trade Smith, Rivera even talked about his ability in the PC, it's been stale un-imaginative play calling thats really hurt Carolina

3)Draft A.J. Green, I like LaFell, and Gettis but I can't see them as a No. 1, we need to someone to help stretch the field along with Smith

4)Hire the best QB Coach available, Clausen did what any rookie would do with no protection, or solid running game...struggle.

5)Get us an every down TE, TE by committee DOES NOT WORK. if anything it gives away what the play call is, run/pass.

6)Bring in a vet QB, we need a guy to show our young QB's how to prepare...sign Cromartie, if we're going to play an aggressive style as RR mentioned we need another rangy, press corner with size to play alongside Gamble, and with CM in the nickel I like that group.

7)Finally....get and stay healthy Davis/Otah

7)Finally bring back Ma'ake Keemoeatu, or another big space eater at DT, these undersized guys like Landri, Hayden are to small for 4-3 interior DL. We need big bodies, that REQUIRE a double team.

If we do these things or something to this affect I will predict....

A shot at a WC playoff spot, here's why...NO 28 FA's (Pierre Thomas/Reggie Bush), aging secondary, TB still to me just had better QB play than us this year. ATL's offense is getting older as well, I doubt they have the same offensive success next season.

It is true though, bring in an average QB and some quality dts and were back in foxball land which worked on occassion. Hopefully rivera ball is somewhat different.

tbh this is why I hope we've got some surprises in store for this draft. wouldn't mind some kinda big move that isn't what most expect (drafting Fairley)...
