I just want everyone on here to know that Brandon LaFell is the biggest douche bag on the Panthers. On Twitter he said "Who Dat?" to someone and I responded by saying "a Carolina Panther should never say "Who Dat" and then he tweeted me back and said "Don't get blocked!". I said "Wow you're cocky aren't you. Don't worry I'm unfollowing you right now. Learn how to catch the damn ball!" and he blocked me before I could even unfollow him. I'm not ticked because he blocked me, I'm ticked that this guy is so self-righteous that he feels I'm blessed that I'm able to follow him.

BRANDON LAFELL YOU ARE A DOUCHE BAG!

Well first of all how you gonna tell a grown man what to say on his Twitter account...that's like me saying to you on your FB wall what to do or not to, you'd take offense as well.

Damn heaven forbid a complete stranger doesn't respect your thoughts on his Twitter that you originally chose to follow, the nerve of that guy. :nopity:

I bet we will have some back-door dealings with the FA's we want to retain and the contracts will be drawn up and ready to sign the moment the new CBA is reached.

Probably not since that would have an affect on the negotiations with the players association at the bargaining table. Jerry's comment about not signing anyone was primarily directed at our guys who are with out contracts for next year. They will not be sign prior to 3/1 unless the CBA is done.

There won't be a last minute rush to sign folks if a CBA deal is reached. There will likely be a period to apply franchise tags if they exist, make RFA tenders, etc. If the CBA is done soon, it could be business as usual. I not done until later, there likely will be a deadline set for when a free agency period will begin to give teams to opportunity to resign their players. If a CBA deal isn't reached until into the next scheduled season, it's possible there would be no free agency period. All players would then stay with their current team with salaries based on their 2010 deal plus a premium.

If no CBA is reached I believe free agency will still require 6 years to be a UDFA. As such guys like Kalil and Johnson will be RFAs. So we can tender them and the right to first refusal or we get draft picks.
yep.

that handcuffs us in the FA market as well, though.

There is no FA until new CBA is reached. Draft is the only thing that's a sure thing, and even then players can't be traded for draft picks on that day.

I do hope they make UFA be 6 years and get rid of that Franchise tag
