Game 36: Bulls @ Bobcats

Comparison

Derrick Rose, 17 pts on 29 percent shooting. 7 assists & 4 turnovers

DJ, 22 points on 50 percent shooting, 12 assists & 1 turnover

starting PG is no longer a concern for this team. Obviously, DJ's past problems were more on the coach than himself.

Exactamundo.

DJ is the leader of this team, and the rest of the team are slowly, but surely following his lead.

Exactly I was a hardcore Diaw hater last season, but you honestly can't nit-pick let alone hate on his game this year.

He's doing exactly everything you would expect of him to do and that's all any Bobcat fan wanted.

Seeing Diaw drive like a point guard and surprising the other team for an easy 2 is what makes him so unique. Guarding bigs like Boozer, even though he has mistakes, is what makes him unique. When he's dedicated and playing hard he can fill a lot of roles and do each well, but not great on either, he's just special. Still kind of hate him though.

DJ averaging 19.9 under Silas.

If that was his average for the entire season it would put him, statistically, behind Rose as the 2nd best true PG in the east giving him a shot at the all star game (D. Wade's official position is SG although he is a combo). But alas, his average under Brown will keep him from getting consideration unless he starts averaging 30 points plus a double/double every game over the next 3 weeks.

Irony, guess who has the 2nd best PG stats in the east right now...Felton!

I know this for sure (to echo you somewhat, Murph). Thank God that level heads prevailed in the front office of this team, because I felt we were dangerously close to a knee-jerk trade that would have sent DJ packing. Fortunately for us Bobcats fans, the tired coach was sent packing instead, and faith was put upon this team to produce in a style suitable to their skills and their game.

Having said that, I haven't missed one game this year, and I honestly think that, despite the points, this team would be better off without Stephen Jackson. I watch him game after game launch a pathetic airball, and then at the very next change of possession you see him talking to DJ in a manner that looks like he's bitching about something - lord knows it couldn't be Jackson's fault that he shot an airball.

I'm sick of the selfish play, and how he looks like he mopes around when his teammates are having good offensive nights and he's not. You can see that when others are scoring, he's just looking to get his shots up too rather than keep feeding the hot hand/hands.

I think the Bobcats would do well with their current roster minus Jackson, and if they could trade him for someone worthwhile, then they should do it. Addition by subtraction.

Great win tonight, even despite that 3rd quarter lapse. Go Bobcats!

This franchise has done a complete 180 and is the best run franchise in this city. I've been to games pre-Jordan and post Jordan and the entertainment value is unmatched now. Jordans efforts to change the atmosphere in TWC Arena are quite evident. Going to a Bobcats game now is like going to one big party.
