Converter box question

I was wondering kind of the same thing. When I hook up my 65 incher Monday, will I get HD or do I need another DVR? It's 1080P Hi Def, DLP 3D ready.

When I switched to digital and had cable come out and hook up my flat screen in the bedroom The tech said that I would not get Hi Def without the DVR. (I never disconnected it to see.)

Depends on your basic digital hookup (if you have a standard/non dvr box or if the cable goes straight into the TV)... If it is a normal box, you will probably still need the RGB or HDMI cable...

Actually, it will if you have an HDTV... since most digital channels are broadcast in HD...

No.

If you have a digital tuner, you don't need a converter box. If you use the converter box anyway, it converts the signal (hence the name) to a format for older analog TVs.
