I was all for A. J. Green til I realized this:

How far has a first round WR gotten a team before? Oh thats right no where.

Peterson is probably the most sure pick, and Fariley is the most needed pick. Cam Newton is a second round draft choice that needs 3 years to develop behind a proven starter.

the only difference between Robert Quinn and Julius Peppers is that Quinn did not have his junior year to back up his projected dominance.

and of course he is faster and many say MORE athletic

Peppers was taken 2nd overall and should have been taken first

Quinn will be the BEST defensive player bar none to be selected in this draft

I am not opposed to taking Austin in the third either

Call me a homer if you want but these two anchored the projected best defense in the country before embarrassing themselves and UNC in the preseason.

Both are in better shape than last summer and have been able to train without getting nicked up all season

Fairley looks good, Bowers is a beast, and there are arguments that can be made fo all of them.

My vote is for Quinn. If his workouts and combine look as they should and nothing downgrades him except for his missing Junior campaign, do what you can to get him as cheap as you think you can Marty...Do something right for a change!

Right now, I'd say trade down and if you can't then take Fairley... but I want to see how these guys look in the combine, etc before I make up my mind.
