Smitty is an emotional guy, he is upset with losing. i am sure he wanted JR to realize he isnt just going to go through the motions, he wants to be a winner.

With JR's so called new drive to win, maybe this will settle smitty down some.

Add to that the fact that the new FO will have all offseason to look at film and realize smitty has to get involved one way or another. they can develop schemes to better utilize his playmaking ability.

no way you can take the worst offense in the league and let smitty and D will go in the same offseason. there will be empty seats everywhere, something JR really needs to consider.

We can sign a DT. There will be several good ones available in free agency. There aren't any WR's who are as good as A.J. Green has the potential to be. I'm starting to come around to the idea of taking Fairley, but honestly, the reason we're picking this high is because our offense was terrible.

Unless we add a bunch of FA's before the draft I don't see that changing and because of that I think Green has to be the guy.
