Bleacher report on John Fox and his language.

Fox is fiercely loyal, which is the only thing I can assume about him wanting to keep Trgovac and hoping that new assistants would help.

and yeah, the guys who yell and scream and throw people under the bus are the ones who get fired, then get trashed in the media for a month like Jon Gruden. Fox not telling you exactly what you want to hear doesn't mean he doesn't hold players accountable.

And in fairness, I think that Gilbride was a SB OC with the Bills before he even worked for Coughlin.

Reid is from Holmgren who is from Walsh, so I would technically put the Philly guys like Gruden, Mariucci, etc. in the Walsh tree. I think Holmgren might merit his own branch though based on the amount of coaches in GB he had who went on to HC positions. Same goes for Belichick who is from the Marchibroda tree (if any...can't recall who else is on that one at the moment....lol).

Coaching trees can be weird, because a lot of times the lineages are interchangeable. One guy could've worked under two different coaches, therefore, he could appear under two different trees.

    • I mean, he's a professional athlete.  What you think as a fan vs what he should think as a player are completely different.  Being bad doesn't mean you should lack confidence in yourself, and really that is true in all forms of life.  Do everything you want to do with confidence. Justin Fields sucks, but does he ever play like someone who doesn't believe in his own abilities?   Obviously you need more than confidence to be a high-level NFL player, and Bryce will never be that.  But he could still create 2-3 extra plays a game if he allowed himself to play more "free" like he did in the second half of last season.  The fact he refuses to use his legs to pick up yards nowadays hurts this team.  Simple things like that would go a long way for us, even if not for him.
    • I've always thought it odd that the QB is the only guy in the roster who carries a record. If a RB puts up 1200 yards but the team sucks then everyone still says the RB had a good year. If a QB puts up good numbers put the D is atrocious and the win loss record isn't great due to that then the narrative is that the QB can't win. Now that we're finding a way to win with suddenly dominant D and dominate running game people are trying to shift to this "Bryce is just a winner" narrative while he puts up bottom of the league numbers while near the top of the league in turnovers. It's just funny to watch.
