Not a problem... hire a young guy to be DC and Rivera will essentially run the D... then hire an experienced guy to be OC.

We got a steal on this guy, 4 years 11 million compared to what the 49ers spent on Harbaugh 5 years 25 million. Ron is a proven NFL coach where Jim has only been a qb coach for 2 years in the NFL 8 years ago. I think JR got a great deal.

he said jimmy was thrown in way too quickly without time to develop. i'm sure he agrees with the philip rivers let him sit approach. said that he will get an OC that is willing to teach and help any QB on the roster to help get them to be as good as they can be.

good for him. I don't like that I saw nothing good from Jimmy but I hope he gets a chance to show he can improve.

Still want us to address QB in other ways just in case tho.

I hope that vet is Matt Moore. Orton seems like a popular choice as well but I would love to see what Matt can do with a coach that will give him a chance to play.
