So...

There will never be another great receiver?

How soon do you see another situation where the Panthers have the first round pick with us actually justifying taking WR with it? Say next 100 years?

There will be other great receivers. Sure. But what are the chances we will have a top pick to get the one that falls in the top 5....and then if we do get that top pick...what are the chances we would be willing to spend it on a WR and not some other QB that may be available?

That's a pretty shaky argument.

One, Dez Bryant went 24th in the Draft. I'm sure we can get a quality WR in the future, within the Top 32.

And, also, watch this:

There is no need to shove a guy's face in the ground, ever. I've played football, and if someone did some stupid poo in the pile, I'd have gotten up swinging. Never a need to go Haynesworth. And, yeah I'd pass up on the guy when you have other talent out there( like Powe or a Fua ) that do things the right way, especially when you can draft a talent at WR like AJ Green.

Haynesworth curb-stomped a dude that didn't have a helmet on.

How is that even close to shoving a guys face down?

How do you know that he just didn't tell Fairley that his mother was a skanky ***** slut who sucked dick for a living and was a cum filled bitch that didn't know who his father was?

So we shouldn't draft a DT because he isn't a nice guy?

Get the f**k out of here.

Name me 5 great DT's that were really nice guys on the field.

There is a difference between not being a nice guy, and a lack of character, that costs your team points to boot. Unless that dude says something personal, but that guy didn't look like he was saying much with his mouth full of grass.

I guess Mel Blount sucked because he used to shove players in the ground.

Or that Lawrence Taylor sucked because he used to get into fights on the field.

Also, along the same lines as Fairley, there was Warren Sapp.

Warren Sapp:

7× Pro Bowl selection (1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003)

4× First-team All-Pro selection (1999, 2000, 2001, 2002)

2× Second-team All-Pro selection (1997, 1998)

Super Bowl champion (XXXVII)

NFL 1990s All-Decade Team

NFL 2000s All-Decade Team

1999 NFL Defensive Player of the Year

Yeah, shoving people's heads into the ground makes you a bad player.

Pushing and shoving inside the pile after the play is not dirty.

If Fairley would have stood up from the pile and kicked at or kneed the RB then I would be all over saying that was a dirty play.

He pushed the guys helmet down, not even in a significantly malicious way. I have seen a thousand DTs, LB's, OL, RB's, DB's, and QB's do the exact same thing in a thousand different games.

The whistle was blown. The play was over. The players were getting up. He grabbed James' facemask and shoved him into the ground... That was dirty
