"I wonder how he like's Carolina Blue" Fairley Thread

Haynesworth curb-stomped a dude that didn't have a helmet on.

How is that even close to shoving a guys face down?

How do you know that he just didn't tell Fairley that his mother was a skanky ***** slut who sucked dick for a living and was a cum filled bitch that didn't know who his father was?

Sticks and stones! Short of trying to protect a teammate (and sometimes even then), you have to play smart, and keep your head in the game. 15 yards---momentum---can be the difference between winning and losing. Personally, I don't want stupid players on my team (not saying that Fairley is stupid). Championships are hard enough to attain without giving good teams a gimme. It's a player's maturity level that causes him to realize when the opposition is trying to get under his skin, and to let his play on the field do the damage.

The whistle was blown. The play was over. The players were getting up. He grabbed James' facemask and shoved him into the ground... That was dirty

It was dirty because the ref saw it and so did the big eye in the sky.

If you seriously think that Fairley is the only player that performed a stunt like that the entire game or even on that play then you are clueless.

We did suspend him for 2 games. But Steve Smith was an established player at that point. Depends on what you do and who you are. We cut a guy for his 2nd DWI this year.

You mean in his second season, when he broke a teammates' nose?

Yeah. Real established.

Smith isn't lazy and is in perfect physical condition. Fairley reminds me of Albert Haynesworth. If he's motivated he's a beast, but I don't want a guy who has to be in just the right situation to perform. Not with the top pick anyway.

He's at the bottom of my list:

1. A.J. Green

2. Patrick Peterson

3. Da'Quan Bowers

4. Nick Fairley

I don't understand this thought that Fairley takes plays off.

Except that people/ average fans, have no clue how or what a DT does on any given play.

I can not recall a single time this year that I have ever watched a play and thought, "Damn, if Fairley wasn't slacking he could have made a hell of a play there.". Much less ever thinking that he was just passing time on the field.

Most people have no idea what a DT does and what a DT is supposed to be doing during a game.

He looked "gassed" the whole game... my son said "dad, I think that's the way he always looks". LOL!!!

He just doesn't look like he is going a 100% to me and many times he went unblocked, plus the fact he backed up the statement about being a dirty player.

Did I say Fairley is the only person ever to do something dirty? No.

The action was dirty. Fairley has that rep, and it appears deserved. Say what you want about everyone doing it or it not mattering, but he was the one who got caught and the one with the rep for it.

Who else in the game had a rep for being dirty? The answer should tell you something. You can't defend a dirty deed by saying others were doing it without proof. I have played football, and have known other who have played on the collegiate level, so unless things have changed in the last 20 to 30 years, all this dirtiness that you're tying to insinuate that goes on every play is bullshit!

Also, I don't get the whole "lazy" thing. Do you guys have any reports from Auburn, or their coaching staffs?

And yeah, Fairley did looked gassed the whole time. Probably because a team was running a no huddle spread offense on him, and every play he was trying to shove his way past a 350 lbs. lineman.

How about you try doing those things in pads, a helmet, and cleats while weighing 325+ lbs.?
