Fanbase not excited by Rivera?

I've seen that idea posted on three or four online news sites. Yet when I come here most everyone seems pretty happy with the idea.

Personally, I'm very happy with the hire.

looking at the comments on the observer article that Gantt posted regarding Rivera it seemed most of the fans didn't want him.

guarantee you 90% of the people that posted comments there have never even heard of Rivera and only heard he was a defensive coordinator, thus immediately dismissing any chance of him being a good coach.

for me personally, I wanted either Harbaugh or Rivera. I'm very excited we got Rivera.

I am giving JR and the rest of the crew the benefit of the doubt on this one. They have done pretty well with coaching hires, (except Seifert). I am much more excited about Rivera vs the DC from the Giants.

I'd hate to judge anything based on comments posted on the Observer site.
