Cam Newton showed nothing tonight. Probably his worst game of the season. He just looked less than average. Auburn defense wins that game.

The defense stepped up big, but to say Cam showed nothing is a stretch. He did throw 2 TD passes and made some big throws and clutch 3rd downs. He didnt play his best game by far, but he didnt have to. All he had to do was win. Which he did. Now to the combine Cameron.

Eh. Cam hit two wiiiiiide open receivers for his TDs. Missed another wide open receiver in the end zone and overthrew a wide open receiver that would have gone for a TD. Didn't make a single read all night other than his first receiver. Made some bad mistakes, including the terrible fumble late in the game. He didn't run hardly at all. He did absolutely nothing on the game winning drive. He did not look anything remotely close to an NFL QB.

Did anyone else notice Newton basically quit in the 4th. He wanted nothing to do with the ball. Handed it off almost every time, didn't even try to read the option. And under pressure he got rid of it to avoid getting hit. He was definitely hurting. Any idea what the injury was?
