What the f? How the hell does he act like a 10 year old, and how do you not see him being a leader? I mean his teammates and coaches have said he's the leader on that squad, and he's shown it on the field. I'm not a big Cam fan and dont know if I really want him to be our 1st pick, but I swear some of the stuff ya'll say about him make me question have ya'll actually seen him play?

The only thing I can possible think of that makes people compare him to a 10 year old is that he smiles all the time...but that just makes me think he loves the game...plus you know who else smiles in almost every picture I've seen of him...

Damn! I could have sworn I saw him stand in the pocket, and/or evade defenders and step up in the pocket, and make pretty good passes. Yeah, he missed a few (like they all do), but by and large he looked like he can play in the pros to me.

I don't know if he'll end up being a decent NFL QB or not, but I don't want us drafting him. There are other QB options out there for us once the CBA gets figured out. I think it's much wiser to draft Green, Fairley, Peterson, or maybe even Bowers. I really think we need to go with a defensive guy and solidify our defense. We've been a good defense for a while now, but Rivera can make this defense truly elite again. We're not going to fix everything at once with this team. I just think Newton is a bad idea for us. It seems way too desperate. I don't think people understand just how much of a drop off he is from Luck.

He doesn't have to do reads, and most of his completions were to wide open players. No tough throws, a bunch of runs by him, and the game winning drive was a result of the running game.

I'm sure everyone pretty much agrees that he won't go #1 overall to us, but I'm shocked that some people believe he's a viable #1 overall player. To each their own, though.
