Serious and Attainable QB's for next year

Nope he signed a one year extension in August 2010 to take him through 2011. So the only way we can get him is through a trade.

That, their asking price WAS a 2nd, but then they hired Elway who immediately declared he didn't feel The Golden Calf of Bristol was an NFL QB.

I don't think they let go of Orton if there's any doubt in the FO regarding The Golden Calf of Bristol unless someone makes a killer offer. He's about as solid an option at QB2 as you can get.

Apparently they are shopping Orton, but like you point out it will be for somewhere around a 2nd, something we simply do not have. They could take a 3rd, but then I think we really need to hold onto that.

Orton is about as good as we can get this off-season, but I have reservations about having him as our franchise QB.

Bulger has one more good year in him, bring him in and sign him to a two year deal. Then swap next year's first round picks with the Cleveland Browns. That way if and when we get to the playoffs with Bulger, we will still be in position to draft Luck next year. (I have a feeling the Browns will be picking number one overall next year.)

I dont understand why you guys aren't considering Kolb. The dude was the clear cut starter for Philly till he got hurt lost his job to Vick, but lets be honest, there are not too many guys that would have stayed a starter for too long with Vick waiting. I know we would have to trade for him but i think we have some players/picks that are damn good bait. I think it could be another Schaub situation honestly. There is a reason that Philly wanted 2 1st rounders for him last year. They know what they got

I'm still on the Luck train right now. I doubt a team will trade for Kolb, and he will be a free agent next year. My plan at getting Luck would be a gamble, but if we miss out on him, Kolb will be there in free agency next year.

we wont be there to get luck unless they found a way to trade up....which i doubt

For what exactly? Or are they just going to switch with us for sh!ts and giggles?

We will have to cover it up with more than just our first and their's. We can't let them on to our scheme.

Something like giving them Goodson, our first next year, maybe a late round pick. In exchange they give us a player, their first next year, and a very late round pick.

because 2 1st round draft picks is absolutely out of the question for an unproven QB.. I don't care if he was the clear cut starter, that doesn't mean he was going to be a successful starter.. Philly can promote their QB all they want, but he hasn't proven anything..

with that said, even a 1st round pick should logically be out of the question for Kolb.. He cost the Eagles a 2nd round pick and hasn't proven he's better than a 2nd.. hell, he hasn't proven he's better than a 3rd.. Moore has just as good a resume, and the same success that Kolb had this year.. ;)

Eagles can promote that guy all they want, but they are selling their own for a reason...

I'll trade sh*ts but I want my giggles.

He simply would cost us to much. If the Eagles would trade for say a 3rd and James Anderson (there LBs don't look so great) then perfect.

Obviously you dont give up 2 1st rounders. they will never get it and we would never give that. What did Schaub prove before he was traded?

when he demands a trade and Philly realized they wont get what they want, I dont think there is any way possible they just keep him. I feel like they would give him what he wants. Could give them Clausen/Moore and a LB/RB for Kolb and another pick I take it.

They would unlikely take that, that's a very lopsided deal.

Schaub costs two 2nd round picks and played much less than Kolb has, possibly at a similar level.

However Kolb really needs a WC offense, it remains to be seen if that scheme is to be employed here.
