Assistant Coach Options

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

You never know. We might have.

But we didn't get him either way.

:(

Mr. Scot, any rumors about who their considering to fill out the rest of the staff e.g. QB coach, DL, etc.? I get the feeling they may be waiting on the results of the playoffs and/or Superbowl but considering how fast they moved with the coordinators' positions, they may not wait that long. Your thoughts?

BTW - 'preciate your posts and insightful info. I can also count on something substantial and worthwhile whenever you contribute to these threads.

Gantt indicated that Chudzinski might get some input in the position coaches.

If he reaches back into his past, he might go for Anthony Lynn (currently Jets RB Coach, previously with the Browns).

Don't think he'll go for the QB Coach from that run, though. It was a fellow by the name of Scherer :sosp:

Steve Marshall, his o-line coach from the Browns, is the new o-line coach at Colorado

Nothing much at this point.

Word that Mora tuned down Fox in Denver (surprised at that).

Vikings also got Musgrave, so Bevell is out.

He might get the Seahawks job. No word on us contacting him, but the Panthers generally don't talk much about that. From what I've read, I'd rather have Bevell than Bates.

The lack of further action this week though makes me think they're looking at guys currently attached to playoff teams (which jibes withwhat Rivera said).

Any of the Green Bay coaches out of contract? Their offense is something else at times (mostly down to McCarthy), however Rodgers has developed incredibly.

No sites that I know of keep track of coaching contracts, sadly.

Guys that I could see us having interest in would include Jerry Fontenot, Tim Spencer and Mark Carrier.
