Sounds like Gruden might not happen. My next choice would probably be Darrell Bevell.

If it were me, I might tend toward an older choice like Paul Hackett, but the team seems to be going with a youth movement in coaching too, so someone like Darrell Bevell might be a more likely choice.

i think the consistently young staff (save for meeks right now) could make for a nice crystallized contrast between the old and new regimes. players are going to want a fresh start next season, so next season (whenever that is) is shaping up to be the antidote for a drab, predictable, unsuccessful 2010. good stuff.

I dont think the team is taking a youth movement to its coaching group necessarily i.e. Ron Meeks is no spring chicken lol

After losing out on McDermott, word is that Fox is expected to hire Jim Mora for his DC spot.

There are also rumors that the Eagles might be interested in (get ready for it) Green Bay defensive line coach Mike Trgovac.

Notes:

- If the rumors of Zorn being on the outs in Baltimore are true, he'd be my first choice for QB coach.

- Al Saunders was my choice for WR coach but he's rumored to be the next Raiders OC.

- I still think Rivera might actually want Jerry Fontenot for the O-Line job. Guess it depends on whether the team is willing to wait a week or so.

- Runningback coach is where I have the most indecision. The choices that I most like are guys we probably can't get.

- Someone will no doubt say the ideal RB coach is Jim Skipper, and I might agree, but it just doesn't seem likely. Might get his son Kelly though.

- Wouldn't mind if the team tried to pry Dante Scarnecchia away from the Pats, but I wouldn't bet on it happening.
