However, Hurney and crew are supposed to look at assistant coaches, right? Or is that just for OC and DC?

Reed speculated that they might choose the staff for him. Not sure I buy that notion. Head coaches pretty much always are allowed to choose their own staff. Despite the talk from Richardson and Hurney about "what they want" I have a hard time believing they'd force a staff on him that he had no say in.

Or why would someone take a head coaching job to where he didn't have any say on assistants?
