Kolb Wants Out Of Philly?

Aside from the number of TDs, I think Clausen had a similar rookie year to Orton.

Orton: 9 TD 13 Int, 5.1 average, 59.7 qb rating. 51.6% completion.

Clausen: 3 TD, 9 Int, 5.2 average, 58.4 qb rating. 52.5% completion.

Difference being the TD number and the sack number. Orton was sacked 30 times in 15 games played. Clausen was sacked 33 times in 13 games played.

Clausen was actually .1 yard more of a rebel than Orton was.

Yeah but you like Cam Newton.
i like him more than kolb easily. kolb isn't anywhere close to being worth a 1st round pick and i would have a really hard time with giving up a 2nd for him.

newton has a lot more potential and a much higher ceiling. i'd rather tkae a risk and make a bold move with the first than go with some proven mediocre (at best) QB.

it's a good thing TDs aren't all that important around here.

6 TDs are enough of a difference to be sarcastic? Not taking anything away from your boy Orton, just saying, Orton had a very similar rookie year to the one Clausen just had. Orton was even more of a check down king than Clausen was. Look at how Orton was able to improve himself in his 2nd year as a starter and beyond. but, if Orton improved, I don't see why Clausen can't improve himself also. Not saying he will, but who knows?

The Broncos would probably want an arm and a leg for Orton. I'm not sure if he's truly worth any price that may involve our #1 overall pick or one of our few experienced players.

very good example.. who knows how Clausen will improve or ever reach "solid status", but anyone making a final decision based on this year really has no clue..

Kolb beat Atlanta this year and looked good doing it. Andy Reid is really good at coaching up QBs. So I wouldn't rule Kolb out completely.

Delhomme, in the middle of one of the worst meltdowns in nfl history, looked good against the Falcons last season('09). When they had much of the same players on defense. Just saying. I think they're the reason why Fox kept starting Delhomme.
