Interviews are so overrated in any hiring process. Hire a guy off his resume, if you have to, let him go through the motions and see what he can do in person.

Yes, though most college contracts have outs to go to the NFL if the opportunity arises. Harbaugh was under contract to return to Stanford for example. He might not even want to come back to the NFL, or to Carolina, but I would at least contact him and make an attempt to bring him in.

I tend to disagree with that. I think interveiws are needed because they can tell you important information you can't gather just from a resume. In this case I think it's important to hear what a coaches vision for the team and philosophy is before you hire them

I just think they're overrated because people are always in "tell you what you want to hear" mode. Some guys are great at wooing interviewers and winning them over, knowing exactly what they want to hear and what to say. Doesn't mean they are the best for the job by any means. Anyway JMO.

Sometimes the best guy on the market is a bad interview and the only reason he's still on the market to begin with.

Right, I think it's just one small factor to weigh in with a huge amount of other factors. Too many times guys get won over with a great interview, ignore a ton of red flags and hire a guy that's really not cut out for the job. Anyway this is probably way off topic so I'll just STFU already.

yeah we need to sign him already. i'd be satisfied with ramsdell also, if he'd come along. i bet these guys are going to get paid, so i really don't see a reason why ramsdell wouldn't come also. they are not going to give up on clausen this early. give him some weapons and decent qb coach, then evaluate. i wouldn't mind seeing jimmy shipped somewhere else. but he's a panther right now so, im going to support the team.

If everything Gantt has been tweeting is legit then Hurney and Morrison are going to the national title game monday to scout Cam and Fairly and they are going to have a 2nd interview with the big cat with Rivera. So my guess is

nothing else today, Hurney and Morrison and all of us watch Cam and Fairly dominate Monday night, they fly back tuesday with Rivera and interview him with the big cat, Then on wed morning Rivera is announced as our head coach and we hold a presser, then after that they start working on the staff hard especially on the offensive side of the ball especially if the OC is going to be someone other than Ramsdell they will probably be interviewing for that position next!
