If these FAs go to other teams, it's because we didn't want them or want to pay them, not because of the CBA.

Sign Ngata and take Peterson #1 overall

Sign Asomugha and take Fairley #1 overall

I've been one of the biggest "bringing in Nnamdi" supporters on this board, but between these two choices here, I would take option 1. We know Ngata is the best DT in the league, and Peterson is an up and coming shut down corner. If we got Mebane and Ngata supporting the middle of our line, along with Peterson and Gamble covering their sides of the field, we will be talking hall of fame defense right here. (And I haven't even mentioned Charles Johnson)

and for the record Ngata is a freak and is worth much much more value.

I just don't understand how all these FAs will be passed up because of JR, how are we supposed to get some solid FAs? I doubt JR even thinks about talking to them until the CBA is in place, which will be way too late.. He is pretty much putting a halt to progress in FA.

I'm trying to find clarification of the rules; I don't think that any FAs can be signed right now until the CBA is done, which is what I meant. AKA, JR's policy right now won't matter.

I think you can resign your own dudes but not go after others.
