Rate the EPICness of the Saints Fail

Not even close to an epic fail this day and age. There is so much parody in the NFL. Reality if that game was played in New Orleans, like it should have been played, it would not have been close. That is my gripe with giving a 7-9 team home field advantage.

bah.

it adds excitement.

casual watchers root for the underdog to to the unthinkable.

to say the outcome would have been different at new orleans is ridiculous since new orleans has been winning by the skin of their teeth all season long.

2 of their loses were against some of the worst teams in the league...arizona (away) and cleveland (at home).

both those teams are 5-11 yet both were double digit losses.

you expect a defending champion "powerhouse" like the saints to be able to go anywhere against anyone and win like they're supposed to.

they got their asses handed to them by a division champion who regardless of record earned their right to play on their own turf.

it's the saints own fault they weren't playing in new orleans.

last but not least, the saints and seahawks played each other earlier in the season. give the seahawks credit for learning from the first meeting.

Can't really argue with this. Seattle won the NFCW fair and square thus they host a playoff game. Just the way it goes. Yeah I am a Saints fan and this one hurt but truthfully I just never felt it was our year.

Last year was the only year in your franchise history that it felt like "your year". Suck on it Taints fans.

2-14, no HC, no OC, no DC, no QB, and was out of it 8 weeks ago

VS

11-5, solid HC, solid QB, solid DC, and lost on wildcard weekend

On a scale of 1 to 10 Id rate their epic fail somewhere in the neighborhood of 2. Ours on the other hand...

11

That defeat might be the biggest upset in the history of the playoffs.

Has a team with an 8-8 or worse record in the playoffs lost their first playoff game?

Yes, the '85 Browns won their division at 8-8 but lost in the 1st round to Miami even though they had a 21-3 halftime lead. It was the 1st of 5 playoff colapses that Cleveland was famous for in the late 80's (Elway's "The Drive" being the most famous colapse).
