Would You Trade Down and Pick Up Tebow? Pair him with McDaniels ?

House, I can understand the "asshole" persona, I use it quite often here... But, as far as I can remember, I thought The Golden Calf of Bristol should've been a 2nd rounder at worst last year. I believed that if he could shorten up his release, he was gonna be a good NFL QB. I also thought Colt McCoy was going to be the best QB coming out of this draft, so I think I did fairly well on those calls (McCoy isn't the best, but he's really good so far).

That's why I suggested it. I think The Golden Calf of Bristol will be a good-great QB, but he'll still need to be developed and will be learning on the job for awhile longer (as most young QBs do). I think what we saw from Jimmy this year was enough to tell that he's not anything special. He may improve, but he won't be anything special so we need to look to acquire as much legit competition as reasonably possible at QB.

And in terms of what's available to us, and others in the top 5 or so, I don't think we'd miss out on much with whatever is taken if we're at #2-5, instead of #1. Combine that with the reports that Peter King said Elway may be looking to deal The Golden Calf of Bristol, and I thought it was a good idea. In my opinion, we picked the worst year to get the #1 pick because I think this is the weakest draft in quite awhile, especially at the positions we are in dire need at.

I will agree that The Golden Calf of Bristol is possibly going to be a good QB in the years to come. In fact, with what I saw of him and the scheme that they attempted to make him play in, I would not be suprised to see that The Golden Calf of Bristol turns out to be the best QB in last years draft. Bradford is not bad but he was protected and still was exposed to not be a very solid QB. Everyone is enamored with his early success and #'s when in all honesty he was only ever mediocre at best.

People complain about JC's batted balls at the LOS, Bradford had more batted balls during the Seattle game than JC did all year.

I don't think that this years #1 is that weak, it was just that Luck was just that strong of a canidate for the pick.

There are about 5-7 players that all qualify as #1's this year. None of them are on the level that Luck was though.

I never liked The Golden Calf of Bristol but when he started playing and his throwing mechanics improved he changed my opinion on him.

His stats are what Jimmy Clausen wished he had

82 qb rating

passing was 50%

5td's 3 ints

rushed 227 yards and 6 td's

The Golden Calf of Bristol will have a better career then JC.
