Given the flurry of discussion regarding playoff seeding...

Even if the Saints pull it out, what becomes of the seeding/home field discussion? I personally have no problem with the current system and I think this game shows why it's fine how it is - not that every game (or many, for that matter) in this situation will be this competitive, but that it can happen. Will the outcry for change continue?

I actually think it helps the seeding argument. People will say the saints were the better team during the season record wise, and on the field. But because they had to go across the country on the road they lost. Had they played a home game being the better team during the season then they would have won.

I don't agree with this argument, but today's game can add some credibility to it IMO.

Doesn't work. You don't win whatever game you're put in, you don't deserve to advance. Circumstances don't mean jack.

If you can't beat whoever they stick in front of you, regardless of where you play, you're not the best and you have nothing to say.

I fell the same way, but I also recognize that is an legitimate argument to be made. At the end of the day home-field advantage is a factor, thats why teams play for it.

Granted homefield is nice, but if you don't win, you don't win.

Any Saint fan arguing this point should rightly be laughed out of the debate.

Want homefield advantage? Win your games.
