"hey guys the saints lost. we dont need no franchise qb. nevermind that peyton manning, tom brady, ben roethlisberger, joe flacco, matt ryan, and aaron rogers are still in the playoffs right now. they dont count. all we need is to pick up a scrub and we're in business! i mean it's worked before with countless other teams. just look at buffalo or cleveland! they're awesome!"

Or, and this is just a thought, get a guy that has done it for years in college, is developing well and bring him along right while adding talent around him.

Nah can't do that, it would make too much sense.

done what? win fluke games? I'm not privy to whatever long standing conversation you're having in your brain.

are you talking about clausen?

Couldnt have said it better myself.. and its not like the lost cause of Breese..... in addition to the fact they won a ton of games this season AND made the playoffs because of him.

And Franchise QB's Eli manning (*), Carson Palmer, Matt Schaub(*), Phillip Rivers(*,#), Donvan McNabb, Brett Favre, are all sitting home having not made the playoffs.

And BTW, (*) indicates a QB in top 5 of QB ratings this year. #= the #1 Rated QB.

For this year, Palmer and Favre suck. E.Manning was inconsistant. River's, McNabb's, and Schaub's teams didn't play well.

Point is you got to have a franchise guy if you want to be able to go anywhere. Also, don't be stupid. Take other things into perspective. Also, look at the history of the guys you mentioned. Enough said.

Ummm... Brees just won a superbowl last year, and got his team in the playoffs this year.

That's what i want from our QB. Consistency in making it to the post season.

Consistency? From 01-10 He has gotten his teams into the playoffs 4 times I believe. So 4 times in 10 years is consitent?
