McShay Says Gabbert is a Possibility for Us Now, as Well as Fairley or Bowers

I'll give it to McShay though, I think he's operating with a lot less of an agenda than Kiper. I trust Mayock above all of the analysts and McShay is probably 2nd of the televised guys.

He was right on about Clausen as he was pretty down on him all of last year and didn't believe... Can't blame him, neither did I, but I hoped we were wrong.

As far as Gabbert though, I don't think he's gonna be much. Haven't seen much of him but I haven't been impressed with what I have seen and think it'll be a bad pick that high. I agree, I didn't even know he was a projected first rounder till this week.

I think Fairley is gonna be another Ryan Sims or Kentwan Balmer type guy. Bowers more like a Gholston type... I just don't see them projecting well.

And I've never bought into Cam Newton either, and find it weird that McShay doesn't have him in the top 10 either after the year he's had. I'm interested to see what he says about him.

At this point, I'd prefer to trade back and pick up a 2nd and 3rd, and take AJ Green, or one of the other non-QB players with the first pick, and then taking a Jake Locker or someone to compete at QB in the 2nd and then sign a vet QB (McNabb, A. Smith, T.Smith, or VY).

Look, I ain't mad.

I'm just moving on from this ugly doofus.

He's an incredible prospect, yeah, but there have been plenty of terrible prospects go on to become incredible players.

Let's look at Gabbert.

He's no Luck on paper for sure.

But, he's got a strong arm, good mobility, quick release.

I'm gonna study up on him and hope the FO does the same.

That clown Luck ain't coming out, so screw him.

Let's make the whole world look stupid for kicking us while we were down.

Why don't you go start a thread about it?

Seems like you already have a plethora of threads about it already,

mcshay needs to shut his ***** mouth.

i seriously have no idea what people see in gabbert.

people complain about newton coming from a spread and then pimp this clown? lol.

No one is willing to except a QB that is black can compete. Newton could do nothing more to raise his stock except disown his father.

sadly thats what i think it boils down to.

gabbert looks and plays like crap and so does mallett. mallett is a drunk douchebag but both guys get ranked higher than newton because he's a "mobile" QB.

Yea like you said Mallett is much more of a off field concern then Newton is.

Newton is a running QB not a mobile QB...there is a difference.

There is also a difference in the spread those other two run compared to the spread he runs.

Facts are facts, not advocating drafting any of those three just saying.

Same concept, same formations, same idea. The only difference is that you have a 6'6 250 LB QB back there with a arm of Manning and the speed of a NFL RB. I mean why wouldnt a coach take advantage of that.

You've now gone off the deep end.
