Cam Newton has garbage written all over him

Read the title. He is not worth the #1 overall. Not even top 5. He would just be another 'project' with 'upside'. Run 1st/ Pass 2nd mentality. He has only played 12 games at Auburn, has never taken a snap under center. He is not use to making the necessary reads to become a passing threat. I'm sorry but I'm not about to take an inexperienced Jamarcus Russell/Vince Young.

Not worth it. I would say trade down but there is absolutely no value at #1 overall since Luck is gone. If you can trade down and grab AJ Green or Peterson (or some other player who can make an impact) then do it. Make a splash in FA. Add a vet at QB to mentor our guys along. And if our players come back healthy (especially Otah) then we should have a decent season next year.

If we could pull that off, I would be ecstatic, but I'm afraid that Cam's stock is going to rise too far and too fast to take the chance. He's gonna blow everybody away at the combine.

Wrong again. Auburn has a single-back formation they have used a few times this year. He has taken snaps under center. Sure, not a lot, neither does Tom Brady (as mentioned by another guy in another thread). So, again, you're an idiot.

So, you go to every Auburn practice? You see him work? You watched all the Auburn games? Or just the highlights on SportsCenter? He is a passing threat. Dude threw for 20+ TDs and he's among the best in the country in TD/INT ratio. So, stfu.

Small sampling indeed,but i can swear The Golden Calf of Bristol just ran for nearly 100 against the chargers. he running pretty well even tho he's not half the athlete cam is. also he's only started 3 games and leads there team in rushing touchdowns.
