my nephew said "how do you throw almost 400 yrds, 3 tds and no ints and lose the super bowl"

my response, "ask jake"

that was a damn shame, cardinals had the game, but much like sb 38, too much time on the clock.

this game was a lot like our super bowl. except reed kicked it in bounds.

god i hate the steelers.

cardinal fans WILL talk about this game for years, much like we do. fondly remember what was, what could have been.

lose or win, warner should be in the hall of fame. if a win would have put him in, why would a loss keep him out? he performed brilliantly. much like delhomme, he would have been mvp.

refs were rather harsh on the cards too.

great game, bad result.

My Rams have been in three Super Bowls, and all three of them went deep into the fourth quarter before they were decided. I hate watching blowouts. Regardless of who you were pulling for last night, at the very least you had a reason to keep watching until the last play. I thought Fitzgerald was going to catch a Hail Mary there at the end. Was hoping they would review that fumble. If Tom Brady didn't fumble on that tuck play, then that was certainly no fumble.

The Super Bowl did remind me of 2003....a heavy underdog (and a team w/ no history) against one of the 'biggest' teams in the NFL...everyone thought it would be a blow out...but the underdogs made it a great game but both came up short.

Yeah the fact that they fell behind and came back but still lost is another similarity.

What pisses me off is that Al and John kept talking about what a great Superbowl this was...and it was...but I seem to remember something posted somewhere where our Superbowl was ranked one of the ten worst. Our Superbowl was just as good as this one.

I'd have to see a link to believe anyone would be that dumb. I have heard us called one of the ten worst superbowl teams though.

Actually, our SB is generally ranked pretty high among the best games.

No history? Cardinals are the oldest team in the NFL. They never won a superbowl, but they have a few championships before the merger. They have a very long, albeit bleak, history.
