All Billy Volek has ever done is play well when given the chance, look at his career numbers

Comp Att Rating Yds Yds/Att TD Int Rtg

337 561 60.1 3,754 6.7 27 15 84.9

I totally agree...even though he's 34, he could be a strong filler for a year or two until we nab a potential franchise QB in the draft. And yeah, he's played well virtually every time he's been given a chance. Shaun Hill, Gradkowski, and Dennis Dixon are the other ones I see fitting ok.

People should know we're not trying to find a long term fix from this group but a viable QB that can at least give the offense life until we find that QB that will fit in our future. One of these vets plus a new draft pick and Clausen with a new offensive staff...there's gotta be some positive to come out of it.

I can't believe some actually believe Vick's going to be going anywhere. LOL.

And I think after some of you really take a look at that list, and break it down, you will realize why Vince Young is one of the best candidates.

He's one of he best combination of youth, experience, win factor and talent on that list with a lot of gas left in him. We need someone that can stick around for 2-3 years and Young is the only one I see that can start day 1 in 2011 and also stick around until we find a replacement without us having to drop to the bottom of the league again.

With Young along with us picking AJ Green and what we already have, we can turn it around next year.

I'd much rather give the keys to VY for 2 years until we can get us a better prospect, who is proven winner, then his rookie protege that you keep pumping up in your sig who won't even be ready to start for 2 years.

you don't get proven winners in FA unless they are damaged goods and/or past their prime and at which point they are no longer valuable commodities.

VY has issues that make him incredibly unattractive to most teams but we've already had this deate elsewhere. i'm not going to bother with it here.
