Delhomme sucked, and people wanted Moore to start...

Moore started and did alright, people crowned him the next big thing and got behind him...

Moore came out looking average with a below average supporting cast, and people wanted to give Clausen a shot...

Clausen came out looking like a rookie with a below average supporting cast, and people wanted to long for the days of Jake Delhomme...

Blame this all on Panther nation not ever having a franchise QB to use as a measuring stick... Until we get the second coming of Peyton Manning, Jake Delhomme will always be a god...

That is sad... very very sad...

Minus Stephen Davis, we still had DeShaun Foster in his rookie season, and the same defense.

Trust me, dude. I've seen a lot of QBs, and I think it's safe to say that Jake Delhomme is far and away the best QB our team has ever had. The other good one drank his way out of Charlotte.

I won't say Jake is/was elite, because he wasn't. But dude, comparing him to Moore and Clausen is asinine.

FYI, Foster was out his entire rookie year with injury... in case you haven't been watching Panther football for long...

I'm starting to think Moore will be here AND start next year. If it's an open competition, Moore will smash Clausen, if not then who knows. It also depends on who we draft.

I know people will call me out because they can but won't call out other people who have the same thoughts. Hate on.

PS...every time another one of these Moore threads gets brought back up, Moore and Moore people are starting to warm up to the idea of him coming back ;)

Delhomme did suck and Moore should have started. Jake's career ended in 2007.

Clausen didn't have a below average supporting cast most of his starts. He had a decent D, decent DT, and one of the top ground attacks in the NFL most of his starts. B/c Clausen couldn't make basic decisions and passes.....he made everyone elses jobs impossible or irrelevent.

but you just made the claim Clausen was as good as Jake. Which is absurd. Clausen is like a bad version of David Carr. Prior to Tommy John Jake won games and made us competitive.

The QB situation suxs ass.. All we can hope the new HC brings in some new thinking and with him a vetern QB that will execute for him.. I know I have said I don't think McNabb will last too long but damn I am sure he is fired the hell up and ready to prove to Shananhan he made a huge mistake by benching his ass.. the only issue I have of him is durability and we are back to square one

Most QBs put on those Delhomme teams would have done the same, much like most QBs put on this year's Panthers squad did the same thing...

Resign Matt Moore..claussen at 3rd...sign a vet who can be good or a stop gap guy for one or two seasons. I think with a less retarded Offensive Coordinator we could have salvaged some games this season. Moore has looked good more than bad in his starts and the only game this season where the Panthers looked competent : Moore was hitting Gettis for two tds..hes fine..as a backup. hope you have a shot at a Luck next season...hell hershall walker the draft for him lol.

side notes:

Although a luxury I say get a difference maker at a position who may be an elite athlete: AJ Green(a luxury we prob cant do but U have to say Steve Smith may be gone next seaon or soon after). also 30 year old guys who rely on speed eventually become short slow dudes. If Smitty stays well we have a nice problem now don't we? Gettis and Lafell both have no.2 wr potential and showed alot of promise.

Patrick Peterson..is Chris Gamble really a no.1?! NO! Are u ready to have Munnerlyn as a no.2? Patrick Peterson, Gamble Munnerlyn ahh thats better.
