the next Julius Peppers, and our future Mike Rucker in Bowers and Johnson? With even BETTER rotation men then our Super Bowl line in Brown and Hardy? We just need to get some vets in that middle...

Bowers is a beast, but not sure he is the next Pep. And I would much rather we draft offense.

there is no other place for a QB.

it has to be the draft. richardson isn't going to make any FA moves until the CBA is signed and the draft will have already happend by then and even then all of the available are no where near worthy of building a franchise around. if they were good enough to be a franchise QB, they wouldn't be available. they would be stop gap solutions and i'm just ready for us to address the QB situation once and for all. they aren't going to make any trades for a QB...nor should they because anyone worth building a franchise around would be far too expensive an option.

the new coach is going to want to get his QB in here and the best and most realistic place for him to come from is the draft.

also, this team is supposedly commited to building the offense. you can't do that and keep putting off addressing the QB situation...hoping that some scrub you pick off of FA turns into the next warner or brees or that next 6th round QB turns into the next brady. it ain't happening.

After watching several videos of each players, heres how I feel..

Cam Newton - Wouldnt mind getting him. Even at #1. Yes its a risk bc of the other qbs with his skills and how they failed in the NFL. Then I looked at Tampa Bay and Josh Freeman and realized, Newton could easily be that. He is very strong and at 6-6, is fast and has a very strong arm. High risk, High reward. Would either come in and be paid high money and be a complete flop, or could turn this organization around by becoming a Josh Freeman type and with our RB's..run game would be SICK.

AJ Green - Im totally sold on him, but again, at #1, IDK. Has everything you would want in a wide receiver. Putting this guy with Smith, Gettis, and LaFell - our offense would be set and would give our QBs plenty of weapons. Only problem is - still no QB to get them the ball. You could look at it as lets get Green at #1, sign a vet and then wait for 2012 to go after Luck.

Bowers - our DE's would be young, but very talented. I think this is our pick TBH. Putting him at one end and Johnson on the other - we would have a very good pass rush.

Fairley - BEAST. Would fill a position of need, but this kid is just straight dirty. Some like his dirty play, but im not too sure I do. I dont think we need any more dumb penalties, but then again, hes the real deal and fills a HUGE need. We could build the line around him, Johnson and Brown/Hardy.

Quinn - OK dont kill me. Would be a huge risk at #1 and a huge reach. Im a Heel fan though and IVe seen this kid play. He didnt play this season or would be talked about MORE than Bowers. Im not getting him at #1, but if we did, I wouldnt be disappointed.

The QB's not named Luck and Newton - I pass on them at #1. Good skills, but just a huge let down from the other two guys.

Whatever we do, us as Panther fans need to realize this isnt going to be built overnight. One huge brick doesnt make a house. Brick by brick this team will be built and the most positive thing of all despite Luck staying in school is that we are going to get a great player and one position of need will be filled. Im still excited.

your next biggest needs seems to be DT and not DE...fairley and dareus should be your targets and i would lean towards dareus b/c the former one seems to be a one-year-wonder and a dirty player what isnt a bad thing at a first glance but you never know if he can be that good without some dirty plays either.
