Ryan Mallett train

I'm not sure what to say. I mean, who is worthy of the #1 overall? AJ Green? How on earth is Clausen going to hit him if he can't hit a wide open David Gettis? or a Wide Open WR for that matter?

We can't trade down because there is no value at the #1 overall spot. IMO just take Best Player Available and make a splash in FA.

I watched him play and what I liked about him:

*Checks the field for open receivers

*Moves well in the pucket

*Throws the ball very hard

The only bad thing I've seen so far is he forces the ball a lot which is fixable. His accuracy is off sometimes which is also fixable with a good coaching.

I'm reserving judgment for the combine and interview process. I want to hear the guy speak and I want to know what kind of a leader he is. He definitely has the physical tools...but so did Leaf, Russell, and the other QB busts of recent years.

The type of leader a man is will define the type of QB he will be. So depending one who the brass thinks is a better leader between Gabbert and Mallett will be who I cast my vote for. Newton is in there too..
